The founders of Technoplex, Inc. have been very successful in implementing this program, initially with the City of Pasadena and the County of Los Angeles. Participants in the first program were the California Institute of Technology, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena City College and Pasadena’s global engineering industry. As the Pasadena Technoplex program grew, more than 200 technology firms were formed, and a venture capital base, incubator facilities and technology organizations were created to support them. William Lyte of Technoplex, Inc. was later asked by the County of Los Angeles to chair the startup of their highly successful and internationally recognized Business Technology Center (www.labtc.org) in Altadena, California. BTC-incubated firms have since generated more than $100 million in invested capital and 1000 jobs. |

The Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are involved in a multi-billion dollar effort to reduce pollution and power port activities with renewable energy, and apply new technology. Technoplex, Inc. is leading or supporting several key programs to build a “green port technology cluster” around these port objectives. Port Technologies Development Center The PTDC will be a technology incubator in downtown San Pedro, near the Port of Los Angeles. Technoplex, Inc. wrote the PTDC business plan, manages its website, has helped to raise over $100,000 for its operation. |

Technoplex, Inc. is a consultant to Metropolitan Water District in establishment of a Western Sustainability Institute at their 6,000 acre Diamond Valley Lake property in Hemet. MWD is the largest water agency in the United States. It provides water to 19 million people, and manages 170,000 acres of real estate. The Technoplex, Inc. assignment is to establish an identity for the MWD Visitors Center at Diamond Valley as a water-related research hub. The facility is a 60,000 square foot LEEDS Platinum facility. |
