College of the Canyons Technology Incubator

In 2002, Bill Lyte, with a team from the Business Technology Center, and Technology and Development Group, presented the idea of a technology incubator to the College of the Canyons (COC) (Dr. Dianne Van Hook and Dena Maloney) in Valencia.

COC has a student body of 20,000+, is well funded and highly innovative. The program was well received, and a technology incubator is being established by COC in association with their new University Center.

A local base of business community support was established by COC, and “Tech Week” events were held there to showcase their industrial technology capabilities.
